Scholarship Program Information Continued

Military Appreciation Scholarship & Benefits Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

This document establishes the official framework, eligibility verifications, and benefit distributions for the Military Appreciation Scholarship Program. The program provides subsidized athletic development opportunities for disabled veterans and the immediate dependents of personnel deployed in active conflict zones.

2. Faculty & Staff Allocation

    •    Private Instruction: All complimentary private lesson allotments are fulfilled strictly by Coach Stephen Leonetti. Free individual sessions cannot be booked with, transferred to, or fulfilled by Coach Vidal Nuño.

    •    Team & Development Programs: Group training, field work, games, and strength training involve the full coaching staff, including both Coach Stephen Leonetti and Coach Vidal Nuño.

3. Tiered Benefits Schedule

Category A: Private Instruction Benefits (1-on-1 Coaching)

Private lesson credits are issued on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused credits expire on the final day of the month and do not roll over.

    •    Purple Heart Recipients: Three (3) complimentary 60-minute private lessons per month.

    •    Active Deployment (Conflict Zone): One (1) complimentary 60-minute private lesson per month allocated strictly to a dependent child.

Category B: Team & Developmental Program Scholarships

Discounts are applied directly to the base monthly tuition ($200–$250/month) of the 4-session-per-week team program. This program includes field work, cage work, live games, and professional strength coaching.

    •    Purple Heart Recipients: 60% tuition reduction.

    •    90%–100% VA Disabled Veterans: 45% tuition reduction.

    •    50%–89% VA Disabled Veterans: 30% tuition reduction.

    •    0%–49% VA Disabled Veterans: 15% tuition reduction.

    •    Active Deployment (Conflict Zone): 30% tuition reduction applied strictly to a dependent child.

4. Mandatory Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Scholarship benefits apply exclusively to recurring monthly tuition and private instruction fees.

    •    Uniform & Registration Fee: A fixed, non-discountable $100 flat fee is required for all team participants upon initial registration. This fee covers direct, third-party hard costs including player uniforms, equipment, and liability insurance.

5. Verification & Administrative Procedures

A. Required Documentation

Applicants must submit official government documentation to verify their tier placement before any benefits are issued:

    •    Combat Wounded / Valor: DD-214 showing an honorable discharge and explicit notation of the Purple Heart or qualifying combat valor medals.

    •    Service-Connected Disability: An official, current VA Benefit Summary / Rating Letter explicitly stating the combined disability percentage (0%–100%).

    •    Active Deployment: Current active duty orders detailing deployment to a designated Combat Zone Tax Exclusion (CZTE) area.

    •    Privacy Provision: All applicants are required to redact/black out their Social Security Number (SSN) prior to document submission.

B. Account Provisioning

Upon manual verification of credentials by administration, the participant's online profile will be assigned to a private, non-public system membership. This membership automates the monthly delivery of session credits and applies the designated tuition percentage discount at the digital checkout.

C. Attendance & Cancellation Policy

To ensure efficient use of donated time, private lessons booked under this scholarship program require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellation. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the forfeiture of that month's credit.
